Affiliate Terms

Last updated: October 18, 2026

These terms cover the Site Direction affiliate program, operated by Dragon Website Services. They add to our Terms of Service, which still apply.

Who can be an affiliate

Affiliates are Site Direction subscribers we've invited or approved. We may decline or end an affiliate arrangement at our discretion.

Your link and code

You get a personal referral link and a code (for example, ERIN10). Anyone who signs up through your link has your code applied automatically when they subscribe, or they can enter it themselves at checkout. Each subscription can use only one code.

What the people you refer get

10% off their first 3 months on a monthly plan, or off their first year on a yearly plan. The discount covers the base plan and extra websites, not the Keyword Checker, and is for first-time subscribers only.

What you earn

You earn account credit toward your own Site Direction subscription, not cash:

  • Monthly subscribers: credit worth 15% of each of their first 3 payments. Each credit is earned once their following payment goes through.
  • Yearly subscribers: credit worth 10% of their first yearly payment, earned 30 days after they pay.
  • Switching to yearly: if a monthly subscriber you referred switches to yearly within their first 3 months, you get a top-up credit so your total matches a yearly referral.
  • After that: credit worth 1% of every later payment, for as long as they stay subscribed.

Credits are based on what the subscriber actually paid, after their discount, for the base plan and extra websites. The Keyword Checker add-on and taxes don't count.

How you're paid

On the 1st of each month, everything you earned during the previous month is added as credit to your Site Direction account. The credit comes off your next bills automatically. Amounts smaller than a cent carry over to the next month.

Credit has no cash value. It can't be withdrawn, transferred, or refunded, and it can only be used toward Site Direction.

Taxes

To the best of our knowledge, referral credits shouldn't be taxable, because they have no cash value and can only lower the cost of your own Site Direction subscription. That said, you're responsible for any reporting or taxes that may be required under the laws where you live.

You need an active subscription

If your own subscription isn't active on the 1st of the month, that month's earnings aren't credited and can't be claimed later. You start earning again as soon as you resubscribe.

Disputed payments

A payment that's disputed with the subscriber's bank earns nothing. If you were already credited for it, the amount comes off your future earnings. You're never charged.

Sharing your link

  • Tell people you earn credit if they subscribe through your link or code (for example, "I get account credit if you sign up with my link").
  • Don't send spam or make misleading claims about Site Direction.
  • Don't present yourself as Site Direction or as speaking on its behalf.
  • Don't post your code on coupon or deal websites, and don't bid on "Site Direction" (or close variations of it) in search or social ads.

If you break these rules, we may end your affiliate arrangement, and earnings not yet credited may be lost.

Changes

We may change or end the affiliate program, including the rates. Anything you've already earned before a change is still credited under the rules that applied when you earned it. If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
